HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
Too many Christians are stuck in the disposition of thinking that God will leave them for some reason to be on their own. So many times, they go begging God not leave them as though He was planning to. Some others think it’s a form of spiritual or true worship to continuously beg him not to leave them.
But the truth is that this is not so. God over and over again has given us His word through scriptures and infallible proofs that He will never leave us! If you truly believe His word, you wouldn’t come back every day to beg him not to leave you. That’s a sign of high insecurities from such people owing to the fact that they don’t they don’t truly believe or perfectly understand the word of God.
It’s just like you having a child who you’ve assured that you will take care of forever and provide everything for. Yet that child keeps coming to you every day begging you not to leave him or abandon him. Even after you gave him your word. goodness! You would wonder why the child feel so insecure in the family and why he doesn’t believe you.
You see, that’s what it just looks like. God wants you to be confident that He will never leave you. He gave you His word so that you can be confident that your papa has got your back, walking in peace and joy, not for you to beg so insecurely. He has said he will never leave you or forsake you that you may boldly say; the Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me?! What confidence He wants you to have! Quit begging and enjoy your franchise in your daddy. He will never leave you! You’re blessed. TCF
