GO FOR A BATH
Ephesians 5:26
that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
We live in a highly dirty and unclean world. The systems of the world are patterned such that it is very easy and even now normal for filth and dirt to penetrate the mind of people. That’s why a lot of people live unclean and in-pure lives, even when they don’t necessarily want to do so.
Through the movies, and music on the TV, over social media, the news being disseminated, the texts and posts, and comedies widespread, the adverts and Bill board, In many places and even through the communication of most people, the mind is very easily contaminated. This is why as a child of God, you must guard your heart with all diligence,
Because just as you leave home daily, not intending to get dirty, but always come back needing a bath, so your mind though you don’t intend to contaminate it, always comes back needing a bath. So Christ gave us the proper cleanser for our mind to help us keep clean. He gave us his word.
He intends that we submit our minds to the word very regularly, just as you submit your body to the bathroom for washing regularly. The word is the only tool with the potency to completely cleanse our mind from all forms of filthiness we may have come in contact with. As we meditate on the word and receive it into our hearts, the words sponges out wrong thoughts and information from us, renewing our minds and making us clean again. Don’t go on with a dirty mind. That is too dangerous. Continually go for a bath with the word, and keep clean. You are blessed. TCF
