THE BLOOD, OUR ACCESS
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 10:19
While it is highly beautiful and very important for us to know the works of Jesus for us in His death, resurrection and ascension, it is even more important to understand the implication or effects of his work to us. Many know that Jesus shed his blood for us when he died, but not many know the effects or fruits of the blood He shed.
His blood was shed for the remission of sins. That is, as an atonement for all the sins of mankind. Christ obtained forgiveness for us and it’s available for all to receive. However, it will only work for those who receive it by faith.
Now to those who receive the remission of sins and forgiveness by faith, the blood of Jesus becomes an access for us to the holiest, the very heart of God’s presence. By the blood, we are to come boldly, not timidly, not ashamed not with guilt, not with fear or condemnation.
All those wrong approaches means that a person does not yet believe, or understand the cleansing and atoning power of the blood of Jesus. Thereby discrediting Him. But no, we know the potency of the blood.
Having atoned for us, paying in full the recompense for sins, we have come to God, and only because we trust the blood, we stand boldly before God. No voice of the enemy should keep you from God, because the highly potent, pure blood of Jesus is your access to His presence. You’re blessed. TCF
