LEARN TO SAVE

Proverbs 21:20

The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get. NLT.

An important lesson every man must learn, is the lesson of saving. Saving in terms of money and valuables. This is so important, even the Bible encourages us to save from our earnings. The reason people are broke many times is not because they didn't earn much, but because they failed to save adequately.

To save, you must be conscious and intentional about it. Piggy boxes have faded away, so you could get a secondary account or an e-wallet. Determine what percentage of your income you must save, no matter how little (the bigger, the wiser), and put it there before you start making spendings from your money.

If you don't do this, you may be overtaken by expenses, that you may forget to save. Saving involves discipline, and that's why it's a thing for the wise. Foolish men don't save. But you've got the wisdom of God in you, so you can. Periodically drop some money in your savings or e-wallet.

You'll realise that the day you really need all that money, you wouldn't be looking for who to borrow from. Refuse to spend all of your income no matter how little it is. Always decide to save something out of it, because it is wise to do so. You're blessed. -TCF
