CALLED TO BE SAINTS
Romans 1:7
To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
It's important to note that when Christ saved us, He did not just forgive our sins. He did that and more. He recreated us, from being sinners to being Saints. In Christ, we are called to be Saints, and that's who we are in Him.
The implication of this is that as a saint, you are justified to stand before God without guilt or condemnation. Also as a saint, you go on living in righteousness, because a saint does not sin neither can he. You are fully equipped with power above sin and it's bondage. Thus there's actually no such thing as being in Christ, and still being in a kind of sinful bondage.
The devil wants people to believe that they are still bound to sin, or that they are unable to live above sin. All these lies are to the intent that the one who is born again continues wallowing in the darkness of sin. This is a plot of deception which you must not fall into. Jesus freed you from the power of sin. Not just from its wages, but He brought you out of its grip.
Such that, that sin you think you are struggling with actually has no grip on you. You are struggling in vain. Go back to the Word, and subject your mind to be reprogrammed according to the truth in the Word. Renew your mind and you'll realise that the sin has no power over you. You are called to be a saint, and you are a saint in Christ. Refuse to live subject to sin. You're blessed. -TCF
