BUT FOR A MOMENT

2 Corinthians 4:17

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

It should be anticipated in your journey through this planet as an ambassador for Christ, that some times, your faith will be tested and tried. Jesus told us plainly that in the world we would have persecution, but we should cheer up, and not let our countenance down, because He has overcome the world.

So definitely, trials and persecutions will come. If you remain in synch with the Holy Spirit, as you should, most times, He will witness to you when such is about to happen. At those times, you must not loose heart or start wondering "what on earth you could have done to deserve all these". It's simply a part of the journey.

You must be strong, knowing joyfully that such times are only for a moment. They always come to pass and not to stay. They are described as light afflictions, because you are toughened by the Word to go through them without trouble. And always, there are lessons and blessings for all who overcome those moments.

So even when the tunnel seems dark, be conscious you are the light, because Christ is in you. And when there seems to be no way, be conscious you are in the way already who is Jesus Christ. Pain may endure for a night, but it will pass, and joy is full in the morning! You're blessed. -TCF
