SPIRIT VS FLESH
Romans 8:9
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
From our teaching yesterday, we saw that the Spirit nature is the nature of God; and if any man must worship God, then such a man must have the Spirit nature too. It's important to understand that there are basically two natures expressed in the course of life. The spirit and the flesh. The spirit is the nature of God. The nature that sides with God and is spontaneously obedient to God.
The flesh is the nature which is rebellious toward God. The nature that cannot be in fellowship with God. Every creation assumes either of these two natures. Many people think that the 'flesh' is their physical body.This is wrong. The flesh is the "anti-God" nature which man assumed since the fall. This nature has been replicated in man naturally because sin reigned. Until Christ came and changed things.
Now when a man gets born again, he is born of the Spirit and becomes spirit in nature. Though he still has a human body, he becomes of the Spirit kind and not of the flesh kind because the Spirit of God dwells in him. Jesus Christ Himself is the expression of the Spirit nature because He is the express image of God. Those who are not born again are of the flesh, the same nature of Satan and his demons.
If you're in that nature , you can't worship God, no matter how you try, or what you do. You can change that now by accepting Jesus into your life. Say this Prayer: "Dear God,I believe in Jesus Christ as your Son, who died and rose for me for me. I declare He is Lord of my life from this day onwards. I receive eternal life, your Spirit into me. I receive the grace to live for you! Thank you Lord I'm born again. Remain on the Word and in prayers. You're blessed. -TCF
