OUR STABILITY
Isaiah 33:6
And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure. NASB
The fear (the reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is our understanding. (Proverbs 9:10) . Our theme verse describes God as our wealth of salvation, our wisdom and knowledge; and these are the stability of our times. I.e the stability of our lives.
Salvation gives us wisdom. The wisdom of God, and as we fellowship with God, we gain knowledge of this wisdom. We get to know wisdom more deeply. Without deep knowledge of wisdom, one would be unstable in his walk here on earth in Christ. Wisdom is the principal thing. (Prov4:7).
A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge strengthens his power (Prov. 24:5). At salvation,we got wisdom in us. We are made wise. Why? Because Christ is our wisdom (1corint. 1:30). He is wisdom personified. But if we must be stable,then we must gain knowledge of wisdom. How much of this wisdom do you know. That's where the stability is.
The knowledge we speak of here is not just the mental knowing of things. It is the continuous experience of wisdom in depth. Christ is our wisdom,and there is an experience in Him. Know it. The Holy Spirit will lead you into it. Only let Him fellowship with you. You can talk to Him now. Remain blessed. -TCF
