DONT LIVE FOR YOU
MATTHEW 6:31-33
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Sometimes we "innocently" set out on projects or activities for our personal interests and desires. We may not have set out to do something wrong, but we just want to do it for ourselves having our personal interests in view. You may not be living badly, but if your life is being lived for you, then you're living wrong.
You may even be doing some nice things in life, but if your heart focus is you, then you are in a wrong path. See the words of Jesus. He says we shouldn't even bother or worry about what to eat, drink or wear. Basically, He's saying our concern shouldn't be the things we shall live by. Now these things in themselves aren't bad as Jesus even admits that even the father knows we need them.
But you see, He doesn't want you being concerned with them, that they occupy your heart. Jesus wants your heart,and He wants all of it. He wants to be your sole aim for living. He wants your life completely sold out to Him, such that you expressly consider Him actual owner of your very life. He wants you to sincerely leave your life to Him.
He wants you to trust Him with it and then live only for Him. You may not be living badly,but if you are not consciously living for Jesus only in everything you do, then you are living wrong. He will take care of you. Only let go and let Him own you totally. If you've been living for yourself or if you don't belong to Him, come back now.
Say these words to Him. "Dear Jesus. I love you dearly. I declare you are Lord of my life and that you own me. I live for you only from today, and I receive the grace to do so. Thank you dear Lord. Amen. Remain on the Word and in prayers. You're blessed. -TCF
