Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Nkjv.

You see, the reason God wants us to have a lifestyle of waiting on Him (I.e not moving unless He moves, and walking only by His leading) is because He knows the effect it would have on us. Everything God desires or asks us to do, is always for our benefits. He loves us so much, that He'd never ask us to do anything that wouldn't benefit us, and He expects us to have the same attitude towards Him too.

Now the scripture says, those that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength. Why is this very important? We live in a naturally exhausting world. The world has a way of draining vitality from everything. That's why even machines wouldn't last without maintenance. Now when we live in synch with the Spirit of God, we wouldn't wear out. He keeps our strength continually renewed, so we are ever maintained in strength.

Ever green! That's what it means. Not that we would get worn out, then He comes to renew our strength. No! It means He keeps us ever renewed in strength, such that we never get worn out. Also He distinguishes us from the crowd of mediocres. Why? Because when we follow the Spirit, we would be doing Spirit things and not ordinary things. And Spirit things are out of this world!

The world would simply be stunned by our lives. So while the world is just trying to jump-fly at its best, we would've mounted up already like eagles, and we would soar in victory to the glory of God! Hallelujah! We would cover supernatural distances without getting dispirited, and no matter how difficult the world may seem, we would handle it like bread without fainting.

All this if only you would wait on the Lord as a lifestyle. If you'd just let Him be the boss, and govern your every move. This is not difficult. That's why you have the Holy Spirit. Why wouldn't you wait on God? Why wouldn't you be wholly Spirit led? No reason! Decide to give God His place from today, by letting the Spirit lead. You're blessed. -TCF
