CAN A CHRISTIAN BE BOUND BY DEMONS OF ADDICTION 2
Galatians 3:13
Yesterday we discussed old things being passed away, and we understood properly what that meant. Today we see the same light in a different revelation! "Christ purchased our freedom, and redeemed us from the curse of the law and it's condemnation..." Please let's understand this. He didn't say "Christ redeemed us from the law" no! He said Christ redeemed us from the "curse" of the law and from it's condemnation. The curse of the law is sin (due to disobedience to the law) and it's condemnation (the condemnation of sin) is death. So Christ redeemed us from sin and death! You now see why old things are passed away? The redemptive work of Christ! Please note that this is true for everybody who is Christian. No exception at all! No exception for any reason in the world! If you are in Christ, then it's true for you! Ephesians 4:8 put it clearer, saying, Christ led "captivity" captive. That means that he seized, destroyed, neutralised, immobilised captivity. "Captivity" is the action of captors (I.e the devil and his cohorts).
So this means that the devil may still be roaming the earth with his demons, but his actions, his power, his effect, his work have been immobilised and neutralised! For we in Christ, the works of the devil are null and void! They have no effect on us! Hey!! Glory to God!! You need to believe and understand this, because that's when you'll walk in this light. The activities of Satan, the works of Satan, the captivity of Satan and demons have no effect on you!! Why? Because they have been neutralised, destroyed, immobilised by our Lord Jesus Christ!! Glory to God! This now tells you that a Christian can't be bound by a devil, you can't be cursed by anybody. You can't be restrained or chained by darkness!! No! No! No! No! We walk in victory!! No devil can hold a Christian in bondage. He who the Son sets free, is free indeed!! Glory to God!! (John 8:36) now that we know that no demon can have a covenant with a Christian or bind a Christian or chain a Christian, we will discuss tomorrow why some Christians still live as though they are bound, and how they can experience the freedom they already have!
