THE THANKSGIVING MINDSET
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
When we say, in everything give thanks, some people don't understand it, because they're wondering why they should be thanking God for situations or circumstances that are unpleasant. But that's exactly where they missed it! Our thanksgiving is independent of circumstances. And why so?
It's because the outcome of your life is not subject to the circumstances that you are in! So you must see that you are beyond the circumstance. Notice our theme verse didn't say, "for everything give thanks."
No. It said in everything! That means in every situation, and every circumstance. Because even though the situation might seem unpleasant at the moment, the Word of God, already revealed the truth and the mystery to us; That all things work together for good to them that love God!
Do you love God? If yes, then why let the circumstance take God's praise and thanksgiving away from your heart and your mind? Did you forget that you can never be disadvantaged? Never forget it! So now, return to praise and thanksgiving to God, and never depart from it!
Prayer: Dear Father, and Lord Jesus, I thank you for your presence in me. Thank you for the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, that is, the Father and the Son, being present in me. I can never be disadvantaged in life, as I'm filled with your love in my heart in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
