SONS OF OBEDIENCE
Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. Colossians 3:6-7 NKJV
Did you notice that there are those the scripture addressed as the sons of disobedience? These are people whose natural lifestyle is in disobedience to God and His ways. These people have so normalised living in sin, that it is no longer regarded as sin among them.
Oh, they're everywhere. Many don't even look abnormal on the surface, in fact, you probably interact with them everyday. They don't know Jesus as Lord yet, therefore their hearts haven't been recreated by His precious Word. In their conversations you can clearly see that there is no fear or reverence for God.
But you, dear child of God, your life is not like this, and should never be like this. As against labelling them sons of disobedience, see how the scripture addresses you instead, as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; (I Peter 1:14 NKJV).
You see you are created different, and called to be different. Don't make the mistake of thinking that you are like the rest of the world. Remember the "world" are people who might look very normal like you. The difference is in the kind of life you live. Don't lose your seasoning and taste in this generation.
Affirmation: I am different, and called out from the world. I am the light shining in a dark world. I am the salt, maintaining my taste in a corrupt generation. I am an obedient child of God. I live for Jesus Christ. Glory to God.
