THE WORD IN YOUR WORDS
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
Acts 10:44 NKJV
Our theme verse was from the account of what transpired when Peter and his team paid a visit to Cornelius a centurion, and his household in Caesarea. Peter had been divinely led to preach Jesus Christ to Cornelius, though he was a gentile at the time.
When Peter arrived and began speaking, something supernatural happened. Those who were listening to him, received the Holy Spirit, and were filled with Him, while the sermon was still going on. Peter hadn't even finished his message yet. Oh how beautiful! But what is more striking is the divine description of what happened;
"While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the Word". Observe that! Peter was speaking "these words", and the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard "the Word" wow! There's a difference! The Word is Jesus Christ. And the words Peter spoke conveyed Jesus to them!
Now this tells you, that your words have a content, a message, a spiritual substance. It's not just about your many words. What exactly do you convey? Don't be like those who convey lust, hate, arrogance, jealousy, fear, wickedness, immorality and such like with their words. Let your words be seasoned with grace. Let the Christ, be the substance in your words!
Affirmation: I refuse to speak death, fear, evil, wickedness and all carnal things. I speak Spirit and Life only. My words are inspired by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. I am the mouthpiece of God. Glory to God in Jesus name. Amen.
