Love, Light and Life

... more than a devotional

TUESDAY 8TH August, 2023

Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.

John 9:3‭-‬4 NKJV

When Jesus and His disciples saw the man who was blind from birth, the mind of the disciples was focused on who to blame for the man's misfortune. They wanted to know whose fault it was that the man was that way, whether it was the man's or the parents. They thought that the afflictions of darkness were a punishment from God.

But Jesus knew better. He knew that the blindness was a revelation of the works of the devil. And He knew that His role was to shine the light of God in that situation. To reveal the works of God.

You see the scripture says, in Him was life, and that life was the light of men (John 1:4). Now that same life which was the light of men is also in us His children. This means that in us is life, and the life is the light of men too! What then is our responsibility? To reveal the works of God.

As long as we remain in this world, the Light remains in this world, because Christ is that light in us. We must take up responsibility for our world, for our families, and the ones in our care. It's up to us to reveal to them the love and power of God. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Jesus Christ is the life and light in me. I walk in the day, shining the light of God everywhere. I repel devils of sickness, sad news, death and lack in the name of Jesus. There's restoration for everyone who has been afflicted in my world in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
