RECEIVE INTENTIONALLY
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 NKJV
When you study the scripture, you discover an amazing truth. This truth is that God has already given us everything that we could ever need in this world. He has given it all to us, making them available in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3). This truth is established repeatedly throughout scripture, so it shouldn't be doubted at all.
An undeniable question then comes up. If it is true that God has given we, His children, everything we could ever need on earth, then why do most of God's children live in need and want so much. Why don't they have the things God has given? The wisdom of the answer is found in our theme verse.
We must learn to come boldly and obtain the things freely given to us! Many Christians don't know that receiving their blessings in Christ is an intentional thing. God has made everything available to us, even freely, but we must receive them intentionally! How?
First by learning about them, and what the word describes about their operation, then by accepting that you have them because you are in Christ. Finally by remaining in the consciousness of your ownership of them. So to receive something, you should first know it, then, accept it in your heart as yours (believe), and then continuously, and thankfully affirm your ownership of it! This is the way to receive.
Affirmation: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for giving me every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. I thank you for I have divine life, I have health, I have the nature and desire of righteousness. I have peace and joy. I have power to prosper and dominate this world. I have all you've given me, in Jesus name. Amen!
