VICTORY THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
I John 4:4 NKJV
Jesus said, "in the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). This means that we will encounter challenges and resistance in the course of our journey on earth. Jesus Himself knew this. But he said cheer up! Don't let the resistance you encounter get to you.
Why? Because He has already overcome the world. The reason He told us to cheer up on account of His own victory is because He knew that His victory would count for us. We don't need to try to overcome the world again ourselves. We simply need to learn to walk in His own victory.
This is only possible if we walk in His steps and live His life. If we live the life He has put in us, then we will experience the same victory He has achieved over the world. This is why the Holy Spirit has come to live in us. To help us live the Christ life, and therefore experience His victory over the world.
We are from God, and have overcome the forces, powers and circumstances of the world already because the Holy Spirit lives in us. He is far greater than the spirit of the world, and as we walk with Him, we experience the victory of Christ daily. Our victory over this world is experienced in walking with the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: I thank you dear Lord because you have overcome the world. And you have given me your Spirit of victory to live in me. Everyday, I live victoriously above the systems and circumstances of this world, to the glory of your name, in Jesus name. Amen.
