SEEK PEACE
Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
I Peter 3:11 NKJV
There are some people who don't mind quarreling and having troubles with others. Some are always ready to give another fellow "a piece of their mind" at the slightest provocation. But do you know we are called to live differently?
Don't have a mindset that believes "if they want peace, I have peace, but if they want troubles, I also have troubles to give". No. Choose to be a man of peace. The Holy Spirit indicates this to us through the scriptures, and Jesus models it beautifully in His lifestyle on earth. (1 Peter 2:23)
Don't say, "what if they're the ones looking for my trouble?" No. Refuse to have trouble for them to find. It's what Jesus modelled in the scripture above. Intentionally seek peace with others. Do all you can to maintain it. Don't be easily provoked. Don't respond in anger.
In fact apostle Paul says, as much as depends on you, live peacefully with everyone (Romans 12:18). It's very possible. Be in charge of your responses and reactions. Decide ahead of time not to entertain offence from anyone. It's the life Christ desires of you. Live in this blessed way. Hallelujah!!
Affirmation: I am a person of peace. I choose not to entertain offence from anyone. I choose not to have troubles for those who look for trouble to find. I walk in love, and peace reigns in me, in Jesus name. Amen.
