INCREASE GRACE AND PEACE
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2 NLT
The prayer in our theme verse is a very necessary prayer for every Christian. May God give you more grace and peace. This means the grace and peace by which we live can be increased. We can receive and operate with more grace, and dwell in more peace, even in this troubled world.
But in the same verse, we are told how God's grace and peace can be increased in our life. He says, the grace and peace will increase as we grow in the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord.
Your see, something about the knowledge of God is that it transforms. This type of knowledge is not knowledge about God. It's different to read about God. That has its place. But this kind of knowledge that increases grace and peace is only possible through intimacy with the Lord.
As you continue to fellowship personally with the Lord, He continues to reveal His wisdom in you, and transform what manner of person you are. Your faith grows, and your confidence in Him grows. This is the life Christ wants us to live. A life of glory, and ever increasing grace and peace. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for your grace at work in my life, and for your peace that transcends human understanding. I choose to know you dear Lord. Help me to give you my time intentionally, that I'll walk forever in your grace and peace, as they increase in me. In Jesus name. Amen.
