For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

II Corinthians 6:2 NKJV

Behold now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. The truth is that the accepted time, which is the time within which people are accepted to God, and the day of salvation which is the day for people to be saved didn't come by calendar days.

It came as a result of the work of Christ Jesus in His death and resurrection. Until Christ gave Himself as a sacrifice for the atonement of the sins of many, and for the reconciliation of men to God, no day nor time would've been the accepted time nor the day or salvation.

But Christ is that day to us. Glory to God. And in the accepted time and the day of salvation who is Christ, we have access to God, to be heard and to be helped. What this means is that we live a life in which God hears and helps us.

God is not far from us. His ears are not closed to us. The scripture says, this is the confidence we have when we call upon Him, that He hears us. And because He hears us, He responds to us with answers to our requests. Glory to God. We live in access to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for drawing me to you, and granting me access to you through Jesus Christ my Lord. I am confident that when I call upon you you hear me, and because you hear me you answer. Glory to your holy name. In Jesus name. Amen.
