Love, Light and Life

... more than a devotional

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)

Many people wonder, "is it possible to be with God, and still pass through troubles?" Many times, people assume that if you're going through many challenges, then God is probably far from you. Well, this is a misthought judgement.

No where in the scriptures does the presence of God mean the absence of challenges on earth. In fact many times, the Lord let's us know that as we walk with Him, we will encounter problems and challenges, but He will lead us through them, and we will come out victorious. Hallelujah! Many people who want to come out of a challenge victoriously,

don't want to understand that it means they'll have to face the challenge first. For David to have defeated a bear, he had to face the bear. And for him to have killed Goliath, he had to stand in battle against him. Don't lose heart when you pass through certain challenges.

Jesus said, we will have to go through some of them while in this world. But then He also said, "cheer up, I have overcome the world"!! And that's our confidence, hallelujah. That we are already victorious through whatever challenge this would can bring. Cheer up, you have overcome the world!!

Affirmation: I am not afraid. I stand on the solid rock who is Christ, and so I'm solid. I understand that the presence of challenges is not the absence of God. I know that in Christ, I'm ever victorious!!
