THE PATH OF JOY
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11
Many people are in search of joy. They want to be truly joyful. But they can't seem to find the means. This leads them into a lot of deception as they search for joy in the most wrong places, and end up depressed when they don't find it.
Jesus said, 'these words I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full'. This tells us where our joy is. It's in the word of God to us. That's where our joy is.
When we receive, believe and walk in His word, then we would be in joy. Sometimes people doubt this because they feel what God is saying to them isn't what they want for themselves. What they don't realise is that joy can only be found where true satisfaction is found.
And true satisfaction is found only in obedience to God's word. That's where peace and satisfaction is, and therefore that's where our joy is. Learn to prioritise the word of God for your life. That way, your joy will be full.
Prayer: Dear Father, of your fullness of joy I have received. I choose to follow your word as you lead me, and so I walk in your joy every moment of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
