“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”

‭‭John‬ ‭4:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

You know it's possible to engage in a multitude of activities, and still not be satisfied that you've done enough or that you've done what you ought to do.

It's also possible to be caught in the confusion of having a multitude of options of activities or things to do and even becoming worn out while trying to do them. Jesus however shows us something very important through his words.

He says, His food is to do the will of the Father and finish it. The NLT says "my nourishment is from doing the will of God and finishing His work". To finish the work is to do it diligently to the end, not haphazardly.

This tells us that we can overcome the problem of confusion with activities and options if will just focus on what God truly wants us to do in particular. And how do we find out what this is? The Holy Spirit will tell you in fellowship with Him!

Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, I know you lead me into all truth. I thank you for your love and direction in my life. Help me Lord, to know your will and do it in Jesus name. Amen.
