THE SHIFT
“In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”
Hebrews 8:13 NKJV
For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. (John 5:4). This was a record of what used to happen at the pool of Bethesda.
It was good that an angel stirred the water for healing, and one person could be healed, but there were many limitations to this process. And just a very little percentage of people could be delivered from their torment. There was a need for something better.
And so God, through Jesus brought us that shift from the old to the new. From one pool, one angel, one person per stirring and one stirring per season, He brought us to a dispensation where there is an outpouring of the Spirit on all flesh.
Where there isn't just one pool, but there are rivers of living water inside everyone who receives the Spirit, ready to be stirred not at only predetermined times, but at any time at all. Not healing one person, but healing all who are oppressed of the devil! Hallelujah!
Affirmation: I live in the new dispensation! I live in the reign of Jesus as King. I live by the power of the Holy Spirit, and by the name to which all names bow. I live in freedom from death and sin. I live in righteousness to the glory of God! In Jesus name. Amen
