“Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.”

‭‭John‬ ‭5:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Notice that in healing the man who was paralysed, Jesus did not pray for him. He simply gave him commands or instructions. Rise, take up your bed and walk. At these words, the man was healed, recovered his strength, picked up his bed and walked.

This reveals something striking. All Jesus gave the man were instructions, and these instructions came with the power or ability to perform them. The man didn't need to bother with how he was to get up or walk though he hadn't done so for 38 years.

But because Jesus asked Him to do it, he was able to do it. You see, the instructions of God to us don't leave us handicapped as to how we will be able to do them. When God gives us instructions, they come with the power for performance!

This means we are able to do all He has asked us to do, simply because He asked us to do them. The grace to do them is in the words to do them. And it doesn't matter what devils were in the way. The same instructive words have the power to cast out any devils that try to hinder our ability to do!

Affirmation: I can do all the Lord has asked me to do because He asked me to do them. I am not unable. I am not handicapped. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I perform all He has commanded of me in Jesus name. Amen
