CHRIST IN YOU
“For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.”
Colossians 1:27 NLT
One of the times the Jews sought to kill Jesus, it was because he said God was His Father. But why would they attempt to kill Him because He said God was His Father? It's because they had a unique understanding of what it meant for God to be your Father, or for you to be called the son of God.
“Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.” (John 5:18 NKJV)
You see the Jews knew this, that if God was your Father, then you're equal with God. In other words you're God on earth. That is God in a man. And so they considered it blasphemy. But then this is exactly who Jesus was.
God in a man. And interestingly, this didn't end with Jesus. It's the secret to the glory of God in our lives. That we too, being sons of God, have God living in our bodies. He is the Spirit in us, and this is true. You are not a ordinary person. You are divine.
Affirmation: I am not an ordinary kind of person. I am different. I am the kind of man Jesus was. God in a man. I live the kind of life Jesus lived. The life of God. Christ is in me, I am for His glory! Hallelujah!
