THE "HOW" OF THE VICTORY
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11
The devil tries everyday to attack the children of the new covenant, who are we who believe. The word says? "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death". From this we see that we overcame him.
So the problem is not us overcoming. The question is the "how" of the Victory, and that's what is highlighted. Their confidence in the blood of the lamb, symbolic of their confidence in their forgiveness and justification through Christ.
This is the first step to living in the victory we have. Be confident of your place in Christ. Forgiven and United with Him. Then, the word of their testimony. From verse 17, we see that this testimony isn't just any testimony. It's the testimony of Jesus.
Be so filled with Christ and His words, that His life and words flow spontaneously from you. Be filled with His words, and let your responses to life be Christ expressed. Finally, count your life as nothing unless it counts for Christ. Let Christ be the essence and reason for your living. The blood, His word, and His life being your essence are key to your victory experience. Be blessed. TCF
