MATURITY AND IMMATURITY 1
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14
Sometimes, people read the scripture in our theme verse and think that Apostle Paul was telling us what we must do to become sons of God. So some people teach that it is possible to be born again, and not be a son of God. Such teachings are wrong.
The word clearly testifies, that for as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God (John 1:12). There's actually nothing you can do to become a son of God, except you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour.
That's all. So Apostle Paul was not telling us what to do to become sons of God, but was telling us what we have as sons of God. We have the privilege to be led by the Holy Spirit of God.
But then, while all sons of God have the privilege to be led by the Holy Spirit, not all choose to respond rightly to Him and let Him lead them. This makes the difference between maturity and immaturity. (TBC tomorrow). Stay blessed. TCF
