FLOOD YOUR HEART
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18
We understand that it is very necessary for our hearts (our understanding) to be enlightened, so that we will know the depths of our glorious inheritance in Christ Jesus.
For our hearts to be enlightened means that there has to be a high inflow of light into us, to enable us to see and perceive things the way God wants us to know them. Now remember that the word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (psalm 119:105).
The word light gives us a direction, and shows us the way to thread. So to be enlightened, we need the word. We must consistently flood our hearts with the word of God, so that the light of the word would beam through us.
Otherwise, the thick darkness in this world would overwhelm any heart which does not have the word. The light and understanding we seek is wrapped up in the word of God. We must go for the word. You’re blessed. TCF.
