THE RISE OF DECADENCE
In recent months, we have witnessed a surge in the number of controversial contents mistaken for the Gospel.
While we mostly find them hilarious and consider them just another trend to keep us distracted and entertained, it is pertinent we note a few underlying things:
1. Notice that the face value of these jokes, messages, supposed revelations, precepts and instructions appear as the Gospel of Jesus, but it isn't in reality. The Gospel of Jesus is simple;
God was incarnated as man, Died on the Cross for the sins of the human race, Resurrected on the third day, and ascended into Heaven.
2. Notice that the focus has shifted from God. So instead of seeking to know God, we see a trillion ways you could end up in hell.
The only scriptural protocol to secure your eternity is hinged upon your decision for Christ.
3. Finally, and certainly the most subtle agenda of this wave is to water down the severity of Heaven and Hell in the hearts of men, such that when the true Gospel comes, it no longer seems serious because a strange seed has been sowed.
While we 'catch cruise', be sure where you stand and let not your reverence for God decline.
