When Jacob encountered God and is saying he will not let God go unless he is empowered and then God touched his side - now, let me teach a deep mystery to what God did to Jacob.
When Jacob asked for power God looks at him and said I don't give power to strong people. Jacob, there is no weakness in your life so my power cannot be evident, I will have to touch something in you that will make my power relevant. When God comes to you and find you strong He goes back, His power searches for weakness.
Understand this mystery; when you want God's power He takes yours first. He doesn't add to yours so that the excellency of power will be of God; so that no point will you confuse that it's a mixture of your power and God's power, no! Lord I need just a little of your power, no!
He said Jacob I see strength and stability even without me, you cannot host my power that way, let me keep you dependent, I will tilt you to assume a dimension where you can't be whole again, my power becomes your completion. That's it.
