The story of Kathryn Nageote
Kathryn Nageote is an American athlete specializing in pole vaulting. She won the gold medal at the 2020 summer Olympics in women’s pole vault.
During the competition she missed her first two attempts in the women’s Olympic pole vault final.. one more and she would be out of the competition, on her last and final trial.. she made it and won the competition.
This story is so inspiring!!
Imagine what she must have been feeling at that very moment, she had just one more chance to try again... feelings of self doubt and defeat as well as fear must have rushed through her. In 2020 before the olympics, she contacted Covid-19, so imagine vigorous training as well as undergoing treatment for Covid- 19, there were moments she asked herself if she could actually do this, and she wanted to just give up.. but she didn’t!! She contested in the olympics and she was met with two failed attempts. She fell and got up, waved at the crowd and ran again. Even when it was her last chance, she gave it her best and her all.. pushing away the feelings of self doubt and guess what? She made it!!! And won herself a gold medal, becoming the third woman to win the event in the record of this Olympic competition. she became one of the best!!! She emerged as the champion, making her name known to the world!!
She never gave up, she pushed through.. she fell but got up and kept moving forward and she won her race!!
No matter what you’re facing or whatever fear and doubt you’re feeling that is making you want to give up.. Keep pushing, don’t stop.. rest up if you must but don’t quit. Know that the hand of God is upon you. Nothing can break you because there is nothing that can break God. Keep going because the one that goes before you will never leave you and he will surely strengthen you. You will win your race!!!
