Topic: What Do You Seek?

For reading and Meditation: Matthew 6:31-34.

Thought: Once we don’t seek God first, any other thing that we seek first becomes tiring at some point and there would definitely be lack of fulfilment.

*Memory Verse:* Matthew 6:33”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Considering the fact that we all came from a source where we have a free will to do somethings or seek things by ourselves does not mean we should forget the source that made it possible which is Jesus. Just according to Galatians 5:13, the liberty we have to do certain things is not to be to occasion of the flesh. Therefore,  we are not to forget that the source of our Liberation is a Spirit and that it is in  him only we can draw out that inexhaustible strength.

Let us see the scriptural reference Galatians 5:13 "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." Not on occasion to forget God as your creator. Not on occasion to forget him as the source of your strength and abilities.

Men have free will but if we do not subject it to that which would give us abundance of life, then we still wouldn't sought after the right channel for our lives.

The Bible stated clearly that vanity upon vanity all is vanity but the things of the lord never fades away even when the things of the world does.

Once we fix our mind on things that are irrelevant, they tend to disappoint us later in the future but once you have fully placed your hope and all on God by seeking him diligently, you should definitely get ready for all the blessings, even the ones you did not ask of.

King Solomon as a case study  sought the face of the lord for wisdom to rule, he followed the lord diligently. What then was his reward? he received not only the wisdom he sought for but in addition to it, wealth and riches untold.

If the question comes to you now Beloved that "What do you seek?" What would be your reply?. We have to grow to some point where we must understand that we shouldn't seek first other things as followers of Christ Jesus. You should seek after the kingdom of God first. Another indicator of the reward is the motive behind it. Even behind the seeking, what is the motive?
