LOVE, THE EVIDENCE OF LIFE 2
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 1 John 3:14
Take note of the second part of our theme verse. He who does not love his brother abides in death. This is highly critical for us to understand. The Holy Spirit inspired these words like this to show us a mystery (hidden truth). Because many have been deceived to think thoughts like...
"well, I don't hate him o, I'm just indifferent about him" or, "it's not like I hate him, but I just don't care really". So they believe, the sin is to "hate". So long as we don't hate, even though we do not necessarily love, then we're good. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Lies of Satan!
He who does not love his brother abides in death! The watch Word is not hate. It is "Love". You should "love". Indifference is not love! Not caring is not love! And if you don't love, even though you think you don't hate, so long as you don't love, you're expressing the trait of death. We Love because we are born of God. For God is Love.
So we are and should live as love. True Love is not emotions. True Love is not a feeling. True Love is not that bond we feel with our family members that make us not want to lose them. True Love is a person, and His name is Jesus Christ. So Christ becomes our life, and defines our living. We live love and we Love only! You're blessed. TCF
