DON'T WALK ALONE
2 Timothy 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
One important desire the Holy Spirit has for us his children is that we shouldn’t do life alone. As much as every man will give account of his own life, and we are to work out our own salvation, he didn’t plan that we do so in isolation of the brethren. He designed the walk to be done together, with each brethren and complementing the other.
Such that what may be lacking in one person is supplied by another person. Just see the words of apostle Paul to Timothy. Fully youthful lust, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, which those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
If the advice and instruction to him explicitly states, “Pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace which those who call on the Lord...” that means he shouldn’t walk alone. He should have good and godly associates whom he relates and functions with toward the kingdom.
So also to us, we have the Holy Spirit yes, but we still need each other to walk in victory. Our race will be most profitable when we do it together. Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1). Don’t walk alone. Make godly friends, people who walk with the Holy Spirit, and who you can relate with. Walk this walk with them. You are blessed. TCF
