NO TRUTH IN THE DEVIL 1
John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
One thing Christians must be conscious of is the truth that the devil is a liar, and not just a liar, but there is absolutely no truth in him. Most people have turned the statement "the devil is a liar", into something they say when they think they're in some sort of trouble.
It's way more than that. As a matter of fact, most times, the problem people fall into happen because they didn't really believe that the devil is a liar. He has got no truth in Him. Yet, people get so terrified when He communicates His words or thoughts to them, because they aren't conscious of the fact that all he does are lies.
For instance, you get saved, and Christ says in Him, you're a brand new creation, with all the old things passed away, and everything becomes new. Then you go to sleep, and in a dream, some person claiming to be your ancestral spirit, tells you he has you bound and will make you suffer. Two different messages from different sources. But whom do you believe? Many people will run into panic because of the dream from the liar.
They'd quickly discard the word of God to them and start looking for a deliverance, thereby accepting that they are bound. You see how devils have a hold in people's lives? When they believe his lies! This example shows you how people can throw away the truth of God's Word, and start living a lie, thereby putting themselves in the bondage of lies. Such a life is pathetic. Don't be like that. Hold fast to the truth. We'll continue tomorrow.
