Topic: Covenant keeping God ✍️
For Reading And Meditation: Numbers 23:19-24
Thought: Once God has placed an order or a proclamation on something or someone He never withdraw in his words. He is always efficient in his dealings.
Memorise: Nehemiah1:5 ”Then I said, “O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands,”
The word of God or word proclaimed by God never has a back turn. It is always in accordance and it is duly, it can never go back or he himself can never go back on his words. No wonder God said everything will pass away but his words will not pass away. Literally what He was trying to uncover was that he keeps to promises no matter what.
Let us recall how the Israelites rebelled against him. Assuming God was a man that should lie, he would have given up on them and moved on with nations that are more determined but he saw something great about them. He saw that out of those people would bring forth men that would burn for him so he stood on his words and the covenant he made with their forefathers.
This is a sign of encouragement to us. He made a covenant which he cannot just turn his back on. Your coming to this works has a covenant attached to it, God has placed something over you.
For instance, he might say this my child once he gets to age 26 he would be buoyant, called into ministry then you as a young person you are just 19 out of desperation and ignorance you venture into something that displeases God. He would still wait on you, he would give signs and still watch your level of endurance. This is a form of assurance to us, he never backs down not now not ever unlike humans we relent and give up so easily if we don’t see a positive outcome.
When he said "NO ENCHANTMENT AGAINST ISREAL AND NO DIVINATION AGAINST THEM he was actually prepared for that day and knew people would want to destroy them but he still did not let such happened to them even during their rebellious act, he watched over them. WHAT A PATIENT GOD!
This means even as individual he cannot go back on the promises he made over us just watch out, pray and be patient with him because the plans He has for you are of good and not of evil.
