YOU ARE FROM ABOVE
John 3:31
He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
It is important for we in Christ to know our true citizenship. Often times, Christians limit themselves to the place of their physical decent, and forget they have a different heritage that is not of this world. Jesus said we are not of the world just as He is not of the world (John 17:16).
That means though we are present here on earth, our origin is not from earth. Yes, we once originated from here, but that was in our old life. That life has long passed away. Now we are born afresh. Born again, with a new origin. An origin above earth. An origin founded in Christ
We have a citizenship that is not of this world. We are of God, because we are of Christ (1 John 4:4). We are only ambassadors here. This means we are from above because we are from Christ. Yes we are from above, and He that is from above is above all!
We are above all the elements of this world, and above all forces of darkness. Yes, we are of light, and in the name of Jesus, we have authority over every principality and power, both in heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth (Philippians 2:10-11). We are indeed champions because that's who Christ has made us to be. We cannot be defeated, because we have overcome already! Glory to God!!! You are blessed! -TCF
