Isaiah 35:8

A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.

Jesus Christ is the highway and the road. The highway of holiness. Remember He told us, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). When we came to Christ, we came into the way, to the presence of the Father. By virtue of our coming to Him, we were separated and set apart from the rest of the world.

That's what it means to be Holy. To be set apart for Christ, and we became holy at salvation (1 Corinthians 1:30). Now our being holy gives birth to our walk in holiness. Because we are already holy (sanctified and set apart for Christ) we should and will live as such for Him, having His grace, power and word at work in us.

Thus our walk in the Way (Christ) is a walk of holiness in the highway of holiness. And our lives must not be otherwise. Now the beautifull thing about walking with and in Christ, who is the Highway of Holiness is that nobody in Him goes through Him and remains foolish. Nobody on the path of holiness follows Christ and goes astray. Why? Because Christ is our wisdom (1corinthians 1:30).

So you can't have the wisdom of God and remain a fool. He changes the fool to be wise. The highway of holiness is the journey of wisdom. The journey leading to a beautiful end. And to walk in holiness is not to be religious, but is to walk with the understanding that you belong wholly to Christ, even as the Holy Spirit leads you. Embrace this walk of holiness, and see how beautifully the wisdom of God will distinguish you from the crowd. You're Blessed. -TCF
