THE ARMOUR OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

Ephesians 6:15

As part of the armour for our warfare, Apostle Paul urged us to be prepared, by putting on our feet, the gospel of peace. I.e the gospel of salvation. This seems a little complex. When he says take the sword of the Spirit or the shield of faith, it's more understandable, but to be prepared by putting on our feet the gospel of peace? How do we do this, what does he mean? What's the implication and application? Isaiah 52:7 does some more explanation! "How beautiful and delightful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace, who brings good news of good [things], who announces salvation, who says to Zion, "Your  God reigns!" Hallelujah!! It's now making more sense. This talks about the message you carry with you wherever you go!

He says "How beautiful on the mountains, are the feet of those who bring good news..who announce peace.." how beautiful are your feet, just look how glorious your presence is esteemed by God if you're such a man who always has a peaceful gospel or Godly message in you. You know there are people who always carry bad news, negative news, sinful news, painful news wherever they go. Once they are around, just know you'll hear how the latest pastor has fallen into sin, or how many people have died of covid, or  of how Adam's daughter has gotten an unwanted pregnancy, or immoral talks or some sort of sin, or something to cause panic or worry, they just have one negative news to discuss always, always! These people have an ugly feet! An ugly, disdainful presence, as far as God is concerned. He doesn't want us to be such people. We'll continue tomorrow. Remain on the Word. Stay blessed. -TCF
