Church Gist: 11 Years Old Boy Wins A Car In OPM Children Day Quiz



Junior Secondary School 1 pupil, Honourable Alex became a car owner after emerging top in the Bible and educational quiz organized by the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) as part of activities marking this year’s children day celebration.
Alex emerged first out of about 80 kids that took part in the Bible and IQ (intelligence quotient) quiz by the faith based organization in Rivers State where the first winner carted home a salon car while runners-up won cash and educational materials for themselves courtesy of the general overseer of the OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.

The clergy, while addressing newsmen after the event urged parent to expose children to other areas of life than academics, saying “they should adore manual work”, warning parents never to use work as a form of punishment but as a routine.

“Develop your children’s Intelligent Quotient (IQ), which is to measure of their comprehension ability. emotional quotient (EQ) which is to measure of their ability to maintain peace with others; keep to time; be responsible; be honest; respect boundaries; be humble, genuine and considerate, and Social Quotient (SQ) which is to measure their ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time”, Apostle Chinyere noted.

He added that “We should build our children to become multifaceted human beings that able to do things independently of the parents, and finally, 
do not prepare the road for the children. Prepare the children for the road”.

The overall winner who is schooling at Police Children Comprehensive High School Port Harcourt Rivers State on Apostle Chinyere’s scholarship after finishing from OPM Free Primary School pledged to concentrate on his studies to become an engineer while thanking the Man of God for his magnanimity.
